Edwin Kalischnig is Secretary General of the Cool Chain Association and CEO of Xtreme Technologies. He became a member of the CCA in 2006 in his capacity as Director of Business Development for RFID and Sensor-Based Technologies at Oracle Corporation.

 

Prior to that role, as Oracle’s RFID lead for the EMEA region heworked in both licence sales as well as consulting. He was the Global Account Director for Royal Philips Electronics and prior to that, Business Consultant and eBusiness Advisor. Previous roles included various techno-commercial management positions in the Semiconductor and Components divisions of Royal Philips Electronics.

Sebastiaan Scholte started his cargo aviation career in 1997,
working for Aeromexpress. From 1998 he was VP Europe before
being promoted to VP Sales, Mexico and Central America.In 2002, Scholte joined Cargolux Airlines where he held positions including Regional Manager, Latin America; Regional Business Development Manager, Spain and Portugal; and Head of Marketing & Special Projects.

 

Scholte became CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics in 2010, and in 2012 he was appointed Chairman of the Cool Chain Association. In 2013 he joined the board of TIACA, where he was elected Vice Chairman in 2015.

Chris Wallace is the International Supply Chain Director for Genzyme. He is responsible for supply chain development and operations, new product introductions, distribution compliance including third parties and the establishment of new routes to market. He has over 30 years’ supply chain and logistics experience across multiple market sectors. Wallace is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) where he actsas a professional examiner, and the UK Institute of Directors.

Christian Hay has worked for GS1 since 2003, focusing on interoperability for IT standards in the healthcare industry. He represents GS1 at ISO TC 215 (Health Informatics), CEN TC 251, HL7 and ICCBBA (transfusion and transplantation). As ISO TC 215/WG 6 Convenor, Hay is involved in developing IDMP standards andimplementation guides.

 

He is also part of the European H 2020‘openMedicine’ project, where IDMP finds its concrete applicationin cross-border prescriptions/dispensations. Hay contributes to theboard of the Swiss Society for Medical Informatics, was the firstchairman for IHE Suisse, and teaches Healthcare Logistics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Nathan De Valck has been working in the aviation industry since 2002, joining Brussels Airport Company in 2012 as Cargo and Product Development Manager. His main responsibilities include business development with the forwarders, shippers and other stakeholders at BRUcargo. As resident pharma and life sciencelogistics expert, he is also in charge of pharma and perishables projects at Brussels Airport. He managed the CEIV pharma certification programme at BRUcargo, making Brussels Airport the first cargo community in the world to be CEIV pharma certified.

 

De Valck is a board member of the Cool Chain Association and member of IATA’s Time and Temperature Task Force.

NATHAN DE VALCK

Andrea Gruber is Senior Manager, Special Cargo at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and is responsible for delivering international standards and business processes for the air cargo supply chain. She leads IATA’s cargo governing bodies, comprised of airlines and air cargo supply chain stakeholders, that provide the regulations for the air transportation of live animals, perishables and healthcare products.

 

She is secretary to the IATALive Animals and Perishables Board and the Time and Temperature Task Force. Previously, Gruber worked at the International Road Transport Union, heading a division implementing, at the customs and business level, tools for risk management.

Joachim von Winning is the Executive Director of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt, Frankfurt’s air cargo industry association. Von Winning joined Frankfurt Airport’s operator Fraport in 1999as a project manager in ground handling. Since then his roleshave included Head of IT and Logistics of Ground Handling, Chiefof Staff of the real estate division and Chief Commercial Officer of Cairo Airport as part of a management contract between Fraport and Egypt.

 

After his return to Frankfurt he joined Air Cargo Development at Fraport and chaired its PharmaceuticalCompetence Team. Von Winning lectures on Strategic AirportManagement at the European Business School in Wiesbaden.

Andreas Gmür is the responsible Partner for the Logistics Practiceat Camelot Management Consultants. He began his career in the logistics service provider industry with posts at Kühne & Nageland DHL, developing new innovative logistics concepts and serviceofferings for the market. As product manager he was responsible for the set-up and implementation of fourth-party logistics solutions. Seven years ago Gmür joined Camelot ManagementConsultants, advising pharmaceutical and chemical customers onlogistics topics from strategy definition and organisation set-up totransformation of process and IT landscapes.

Pasi Nopanen is Finnair Cargo’s Vice President Global Sales. He returned to Finnair in October 2014, to look after sales in Scandinavia and North America, after working for almost 14 years within air cargo terminal handling and freight forwarding with shippers all over the globe. He originally joined Finnair in 1994 and was then responsible for airport operations for seven years. Inaddition to the pharma transport service, Nopanen and his team are currently focusing on the launch of Finnair’s new Airbus A350XWBs in October. The first long-haul routes it will serve, bringing an increase in cargo capacity, are Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Fabrizio Iacobacci is the head of BCUBE air cargo’s institutionalaffairs and special project department. His main role is to driveforward the development of new business in Italy and abroad. He is also the project leader of the company’s pharmaceutical and time and temperature-sensitive implementations.

 

Iacobacci joined BCUBE air cargo in 2010, bringing with him 15 years of civilaviation experience. Before that, he was a consultant in airport regulatory affairs and business development. Previously he served as legal and institutional affairs manager at Alitalia, where he started his career.

Stavros Evangelakakis has 20 years’ experience in the air cargoindustry, having worked in various departments at Cargolux.He has held roles in export, reservations, sales, marketing andcorporate marketing. Prior to his current title of Global Product Manager for Healthcare/Perishables, Evangelakakis was salesManager Europe, M East and C Asia for nine years. Over thepast 10 years Evangelakakis has become very familiar with thetransportation of healthcare products and has been the linkbetween commercial and operations with Cargolux. He is also aboard member of the Cool Chain Association and represents theCCA within IATA’s TTFF group.

Manu Jacobs joined KLM (later Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo) in 2001 and has held various commercial management positions with the airline. From 2010-2014 he was the Director of Belgium – Luxembourg. At the same time he became President of the Airline Association in Belgium (ACMAB).

 

In September 2014 he took ona newly created role: Director Global Business Development forthe Pharmaceutical Logistics Division at Air France-KLM Cargo. He is now responsible for development within the pharma industry,working with both forwarders and shippers as well as liaising with governmental bodies and trade associations.

Gian Carlo Alessi has 20 years in the Cargo industry. Alessi has gained experience working in different positions and countries, mainly on the freight forwarder and airline side. Daniel Setz is an internationally experienced senior executive with over 25 years working in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry, where of the last 15 years have been in general managementpositions with budget and bottom-line responsibility. Working in the air cargo industry since 1994 and involved, over theyears in operations, process analysis, quality and environmentalmanagement and risk management, Caristo is now responsible forall corporate audit and compliance activities.

 

Since it was foundedin 2013, he has been coordinating TAPA’s Italian working groupand is a qualified TAPA trainer. After working as ALHA Group’sProject Manager for IATA Pharma CEIV certification, he is now the company’s vertical Pharma Manager. During the past two years he has also been teaching air cargo operation at a logistic andtransportation high school.
